Barrow herself was the victim of a murderous assault in which she lost an eye a few years ago when shot by Baldy Watley, now serving time in the Texas prison. Private funeral services and burial will be held for Mrs. Josephine Beauchamp, wife of M. Beauchamp, died very suddenly at her home in Dallas last Tuesday evening about 10 o'clock. She had been suffering with a severe heart trouble for several months, but her condition was not considered anything like serious, at this time, when she was suddenly stricken and passed away in a few minutes.

Beauchamp, was born and reared in this community. She was a daughter of Mr. Sam Small who were pioneer settlers in the Grand Prairie community. She was 45 years of age. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Maxine. Two brothers, Jess F. Small of this city and Mickell Small of Sowers, and one sister, Mrs. Derwood Dodd, of Dallas, also survive. Funeral services were held from the Rosemont Christian church, of which she was a member, on Thursday morning, her pastor, Rev. Jones conducting the service.
